Netflix Casts Perfect Actor for Mr. 2 in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t unfold until the third season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed Tuesday that the talented performer has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Mr. 2. The role has the ability to change into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that role reinterpreted as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the live-action series, as in the source material and cartoon version.
This performer is joined by multiple recently announced actors tasked with bringing the group to reality, such as head Mr. 0, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the cast as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Though this character is a important part of the organization, the character will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the second season set to cover the Little Garden arc, this marks a major departure in the placement of their first appearance, one that could signal additional alterations to the narrative framework.
The actor’s combination of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the part. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is set to return for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
