Passionate followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who breached a barricade and seized the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage depicts the Australian man bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a promenade accompanied by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents showed that he was set to appear on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Record of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram feed contains videos of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Voice Worry Over Grande's Past Trauma

Many supporters blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented a further comment on Instagram.

A number of supporters also criticised event staff at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others requested social media platforms to block Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande appeared surprised when she was touched by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of attendees had assembled in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be launched on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-film adaptation of the well-known theatrical production Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected bond between two distinct witches.

The production itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of the previous year in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, earning a pair for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
